DNS Cache Flush command
open command prompt (from RUN) .......... Enter: Ipconfig /flushdns
If unsuccessful try the following:
Could not flush the DNS Resolver Cache: Function failed during execution.
When you attempt to Repair the Network Connections, you receive an error like:
Windows could not finish repairing the problem because the following action could not be completed:
Clearing the DNS Cache
For assistance, contact the person who manages your network.
This behavior will occur if the DNS Client service is not running.
To fix this problem:
1. Open a CMD.EXE window.
2. Copy and paste the following command at the flashing cursor point
REG ADD HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Dnscache /V Start /T REG_DWORD /F /D 2 and press Enter
3. Shutdown and restart Windows XP.
Then open command prompt (from RUN) .......... Enter: Ipconfig /flushdns and press Enter
